    Aunty is always in the Love Pad on Wednesdays to have a chat with the couples.

    Ultimate Love Day 32 started with the Love Guests learning the Nupe traditional dance, bonding with their partners, then Aunty dropped by later to chat with the the couples. It was a quite a revealing session.

    Aunty asked if the Love Guests had any ex they still liked and Jay had the nerve to tell Aunty in the presence of Nkechi that his favourite ex is still very close to his heart. He even touched the spot the ex currently occupies, and believe me dears, it’s very high up there. Nkechi, I hope you’re taking note? Most importantly, I hope you have back up bae.

    Then Aunty thought it was a smart idea to ask them their secret on TV

    There are so many questions to ask these people, but Aunty really thought it was a good idea to ask them to share their secret with their partner, and in her own presence, not forgetting that millions of people were also watching? How’s that even still a secret abeg?

    Ultimate Love Day 32

    Anyway, the only secret worth writing about is Rosie’s secret. She told us and the rest of the world that she has a teenage son who she hasn’t seen since he was taken away from her at four months. Sigh.

    Bolar’s kind gesture did a number on Jelo

    Remember JennyKoko and Louis’s ship has been rocky for some days now? Bolanle and Arnold were kind enough to give out the love nest to Jelo, and it may seem as though what needed was a private moment to talk things through.

    They are not exactly matching to the altar straight out of the love nest, but it’s a good place to start. Kisses sprinkled with cuddles here and there, and things are already looking Gucci.

    Everything that happened in Ultimate Love Day 31:

    The open nomination is giving the show runners the drama they bargained for. They must be happy and fulfilled at the mess that’s going on in the Love Pad.

    Ultimate Love Day 31:

    Arnold and Kachi are working harder than the PR company that cleaned Donald Trump’s mess, all in the name of nomination. These two swear they are unaffected by being up for possible check out on Sunday, but that’s a dirty lie. One is acting like a child, while the other one is meeting those who nominated him to ask JAMB questions.

    Arnold didn’t want to be a part of their weekly task rehearsal:

    That one behaved like a petulant child when it was time to talk about their task rehearsal. He refused to make any contribution. Arnold dear, you’re still going to leave that house at the end of the show, so why are you acting like Aunty’s pad is your daddy’s house? Why so pressed?

    Ultimate Love Day 31:

    Kachi on the other hand started his own reconciliation tour in Ilupeju:

    As opposed to Arnold that was carrying face and snapping at people, Kachi decided to speak to some of those who nominated him, he wanted to know if they had issues. Bros, it’s just a game, and I hope they nominate you again next week. Maybe you’d finally learn not to take things personal.

    Ultimate Love Day 31:

    Well, those two are lucky I’m not in Aunty’s Love pad to bae hunt, i would have continued to nominate them every week for my own entertainment. Let all of us be childish together now.

    PreshDavid escaped nomination again:

    Aunty saved PreshDavid (and not Jelo) this week, which I believe is great because that relationship with JennyKoko is draining Louis, and we need PreshDavid to continue scamming us with their scripted love. They really deserve this save for bringing the biggest twist and drama on this show. A power couple.

    Day 30 in Aunty’s Love Pad was kind of gloomy. Roksie and Bolar are still not happy about having so many nominations and insist it’s a gang up. Whatever it is, the game remains the game. Chin up, girls.

    The voting result from last week is out. Roksie, Bolar, and Chivia are the couples with the highest number of votes respectively. All three are up for possible check out again, and I suspect they’ll scale through again this week.

    There was a puzzle challenge for the love couples last night and it was the women’s turn to hustle for the love nest. Bolanle is clearly the only who has mastered her husband-to-be’s face. The rest are not serious at all.

    Usual Monday night snooze fest, AKA Movie Night

    Monday nights are for movies in Aunty’s Love Pad. The movies are so boring that even the Love Guests are over it. They just eat the popcorn and sleep off cuddled up on the couch, or simply walk away.

    Aunty, how about something fun for these people? Some of them don’t even know their partner’s favourite colour, but they’re being forced to bond over boring movies only Aunty cares about.

    As always, Sunday comes with at least one couple checking out, followed by the Love Guests openly nominating themselves for possible check out. After the nomination comes conspiracy theories and the unnecessary analysis of a game they already suck at playing.

    Jerry evicted and relationship is not on their plates for now.

    Remember how Meriton surprised her boo, Jerry, with a dinner date a few nights ago in the hopes of it helping their relationship? Well, Meriton can stop worrying about all that now. They had the lowest amount of votes and they’ve checked out of the love pad.

    Meriton looked pretty unhappy.

    They left with a portmanteau containing N600,000 cash and other gift items. Jerry better let Meriton have all the money, for ruining her chances of staying longer in the house.

    Why are they always upset after nominations?

    As always, eviction and nominations come with a lot of unnecessary tension and drama. It’s really tiring hearing the Love Guests whine about nominations all week, abeg. Is it me your fellow Love Guests will nominate? Did you not nominate people too? Nonsense!

    Is kitchen management the root of Bolar and Roksie’s multiple nominations?

    Bolar and Roksie have the highest number of nominations this week and I suspect it’s because a lot of the Love Guests are unhappy with how they run the kitchen. They’ve been accused of lording over the kitchen like it’s theirs, along with not sharing pringles and other snacks fairly. I ask again, why is free food that’s in abundance causing so much drama? RA-TA-TA-TA!

    Rosie thinks Presh and David, her rival and ex-partner, are instigating others to nominate them. I think not. Food is the root of all these nominations, my dear.

    Who’s getting saved this week?

    As usual, Aunty is taking two couples on a mission outside the love pad, and Jelo and PreshDavid are the lucky couples for this week. May the couple with the most synergy win this.

    JennyKoko and Louis are not exactly in the best shape to win a couple’s game at the moment, but maybe a trip out of Aunty’s Love Pad and a few hours inside Lagos traffic would do them good. Who knows?

    He described it with “Edge”, that useless 2G network that used to make us hang on the tree with our Blackberry curve 2 before replying a BBM message. Can’t even blame the poor girl, because what’s she going to do with an “edge” network in 2020?

    Is Jerry the problem or is the problem Jerry?

    Remember how Jerry rushed Meriton and finished her with affection the day she stepped into the house? That didn’t last a week, because he rarely spends time with her now. Long story short, Meriton is very far from being Jerry’s spec and local mans can’t like what he doesn’t like.

    Jerry, maybe you should kuku mould your woman, abi?

    Jerry complained to Aunty about Meriton always snoring, not being articulate enough, not recognizable without make-up, always wanting to touch him when he’s not in the mood to be touched, not being able to find a cure for Coronavirus, etc. Meanwhile, all he has going for him in that Love Pad is his fine face. Bruh, please.

    Jerry and Meriton are on the same page: 

    Jerry rated his relationship with Meriton a five out of ten, and Meriton rated her relationship with him a four out of ten too. I’m giving them an A for honesty. But since this isn’t working for them and there is no hope of things getting better, maybe they can check out and go continue the search for bae outside?

Now that they’re in the house together, they stay out of each other’s way because the chemistry is still very much there. They hate to see it, but I really wanted these two to scam me.

    Out of the three girls Jerry had his eyes on the moment he entered, its Presh he still can’t keep his hands off. Presh has gotten more hugs than Sylvia and Meriton combined together will ever get from Jerry. A ship David denied us. 

    Theresa and Louis:

    Whether Iykeresa’s fans wants to hear this or not, Louis is the guy Theresa really wanted. He’s the only one she can be herself around. Home girl misses Louis so much.

    Obi and Chris:

    Obi was a much better man when he was with Chris, before Ebi snatched him with fasting and prayers. 

    Ebi and Chidi:

    I’m doing this for Ebi’s mental well being; I don’t see Chidi manipulating her emotionally like Obi does. We need to see the sweet and fun loving Ebi without an Obichukwu to choke her.

    Bolanle and ChrisVille:

    Since I’m unable to pair Bolanle with the love of her life, the kitchen, I dash her ChrisVille. 

    Meriton and Kachi:

    Both Meriton and Kachi are in emotionally abusive relationships with their partners, so let’s give Merkach a chance, shall we? 

    Arnold and JennyKoko:

    We know Arnold is here for the game. Trust me, he’ll be fine with anyone, even if it’s one of Aunty’s butlers. Jenny too would finally stop giving Louis grief for being his second choice. Win win for all.

    Jay and Nkechi:

    I’m not even going to touch Nkechi’s Jay because that one still insists on checking out if they take Nkechi away from him. I don’t like wahala, please.

    It is day 24 of Ultimate Love and don’t understand why Iyke thinks it’s cool to treat his partner, Theresa like a toddler. First, he scolded her for answering Louis’ question about oral sex. Next, he complained about her chatting with Louis for five minutes. This was irritating on so many levels. Accepted, Theresa once had her eyes on Louis, but Bros Iyke can’t be that insecure. Relax dear, she chose you over Louis already, and Louis is happy with Jenny Koko, anyway.

    Can these men step up or buzz off? 

    These men are supposedly asking them out, but I’m yet to see any of them (the men) go out of their way to do anything to impress these women.  All you see them do is complain and try to shape these women into what they’re not. I’m obviously not asking the women to step up, they cook for these men already, and you know how Nigerian men are with food?

    Aunty decided to save JayKech! 

    Aunty finally revealed the couple who got saved this week and it’s JayKech. She picked them over ObiEbi because she’s finally seen for herself how controlling and manipulative Obi is to Ebi. Anytime you wake up is morning ma. We’ll see if ObiEbi’s fans can get them through another week or two in the love pad. I hope not, the evil Obi has done is enough.

    Breakfast in bed for the women of Love Pad:

    Today, the men will do the all the cooking in the Love pad, as instructed by Aunty. They woke the ladies up with breakfast in bed and the ladies were genuinely surprised.

    All of them, except Presh Talker. The good sis is used to the good life, as David always does his best to serve her meals, whether in bed or on their favourite couch.

    The men were given a task to make the women up, and David’s job was chosen as the best. For the week, PreshDavid will have the Love Nest to themselves, and I expect nothing but premium cute moments. 

    Is it too early to give up on DoubleChris?  

    Remember Chris finally got a man in the house? Well, it seems this man is here for the platform, not to find the love of his life.

    It’s so bad that she had to send Jay, a mutual of friend of hers and Chrisville to help her speak to her partner about getting her a birthday gift. Sigh! Chris darling, you know this guy isn’t feeling you, why not check out, instead of helping him use you as a cover up to sell his market? No time oh, let all of us kuku be going home abeg.

    Prophet Koko is at it again.

    MiCherry was one of the two couples I predicted was going to be voted out, and that happened.  Other love guests: Chivia, Obiebi, PreshDavid and Iykeresa were saved by viewers votes.

    Micherry did not leave empty handed. They left with a cash gift of N350,000! That’s better than nothing. LOL.

     It’s funny that the Love Guests couldn’t believe that Micherry didn’t get enough votes to keep them in the house for another week, especially with all their kissing and PDA. I hope the couples left can see that it’s not by kissing and cuddling.

    Ultimate Love day 19 recap patriarchy
    The call asked if people were looking for love, meanwhile, some of the love guests are looking for patriarchy.

    Ultimate Love started with feminists winning the war against patriarchy, but right now, premium shame is catching me to even tell you people how patriarchy is winning without even trying. I’m disappointed, but I’m not exactly surprised.   

    Nigerian men will never not disgrace you

    Jay once said his future wife isn’t allowed to pay tithe from the money he gives her because he doesn’t believe in tithing. Lmao. He’s given his wife money, but she has to spend only on things he approves of? Wow.

    Then there’s Arnold who said he can’t marry a woman from a broken home. He even said women who expect their men to help in the house live in a fantasy. 

    Obichukwu already told Ebi to address him “respectfully” because his people are watching. He has even told her that she can’t keep buying designer stuff with HER OWN MONEY until they acquire some properties. I can bet my last Naira that these properties would be in Obi’s name if they ever get to that stage. 

    Bruh, these men are the ghetto!

    Making decisions for adults without consulting them 

    A lot of them made it known to the women during their speed dating sessions that they’d rather their women stay at home and take care of the house, while they go about building their empires. I’m not even trying to be petty but most of these women have more stable jobs than the men. 

    For the couples who aren’t living in the same state, the men are so sure that women are ready to say bye bye to their current state of residence to join them where they live, without even discussing it with them first. The way they casually say “oh she’s joining me in xxx” state is so funny.

    Will women ever stop enabling men and their patriarchal ways?

    The weekly roaster had men’s names on it for cooking initially, but that stopped after the first week and I’m yet to see any of the women talk about this. Rather, they cook so happily like it’s a cooking competition, some would even spend the whole day in that kitchen, if you allow them.  

    When it comes to weekly nominations, most of the women are always so proud to announce that their men made the decision on who to nominate. They left that one for head of the family, abi? Decision that’s for two people to make. Sigh!

    At what point will Aunty come correct?

    I agree that patriarchy has eaten deep into our society, but I didn’t think Aunty was going to be an enabler. She once told Cherry to stop wearing bum shorts because there are men in the Love Pad. I thought that was a joke, until Micheal, Cherry’s partner said same thing in her presence and she nodded in agreement. 

    We cannot hide our shock.

    Hopefully, it’ll get better. Let’s be watching.
