On Sunday 15th of March 2020, residents living around the Abule Ado, FESTAC, Ojo area were shocked by an explosion.

This explosion is believed to be a pipeline explosion, and some of the people who reside in the affected areas have taken to social media to upload videos of the said explosion as well as the damage caused.

This page reports it as a “pipeline explosion.”

The Federal Fire Service is working to put out the fire and bring things under control. According to a series of tweets sent out by their handle, they are “working closely with Lagos State Emergency team in order to effect rescue.”

There is no confirmation of how much damage occurred or how many lives were lost, but we are hoping it’s not so bad.
