You’re having a normal conversation with an anime watcher and they suddenly break into Japanese because they think everyone around them understands. We’ve been there too, so we’ve decided to compile a list of the possible things they’ll say and their meanings.
You’re welcome.
1. Nani
![Nani?? (Original) - YouTube](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/vxKBHX9Datw/maxresdefault.jpg)
Nani simply means “What”, but the way anime characters say it makes it sound so cool that anime lovers incorporate it into their daily vocabulary. You’ll be having a normal conversation with an anime watcher and next thing, they’ll scream “Nani”. It simply means “What”
2. Baka
![baka - Dictionary.com](https://www.dictionary.com/e/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/baka-2.png)
If you hear an anime watcher say Baka, it means they’re calling you stupid and it’s time to throw hands.
3. Kawaii

If you’re moving to a babe that watches anime, just say stuff like kawaii when you’re talking to her and she’ll start falling for you. It means “Cute”.
4. UwU
![Chevy - uwu by Orange_t on Smule](https://c-sf.smule.com/rs-s95/arr/5a/23/3b558b3d-c119-41cb-b263-5cc7c4dc9f16_1024.jpg)
This doesn’t even really mean anything. It’s just an emoticon that denoted cuteness. The u is meant to represent eyes, while the w represents the mouth.
5. Sugoi

This is just one of those exclamations that mean “Fantastic” or “Great”.
6. Arigato

Arigato means thank you. Simple as that. Don’t let anyone confuse you.
7. Yamete
Yamete means stop. Whatever context you decide to use it in is your business. Look at this Tik-Tok for example.
Also, I Googled “Yamete”, and did not find any images I can add to this post. That should tell you something.
