Kida Kudz — “Money” ft. Teni
2019 has been a really good year for Kida Kudz, thanks to some memorable features (Santi’s “Raw Dinner”, Ms Banks’ “Snack”) and a few quality singles (“Jiggy Bop”, “Bounce”). Now, he’s come through with another impressive offering, the Teni-assisted “Money”.
On the track, flawlessly produced by Sons of Sonix, Kida Kudz and Teni sing about their relentless drive to secure the bag. Both stars truly shine on the song, with Kida Kudz sounding better than he has all year, while Teni successfully switches up her flow for a scene-stealing turn.
2Baba — “Important”
It’s been two decades and 2Baba has managed to stay high on the list of the most essential Nigerian stars working today. After kicking off 2019 with the fantastic “Oyi” — followed by the clunky, Waje-assisted “Frenemies” — 2Baba is back with another objectively good song, “Important”
On the track, 2Baba seeks to uplift listeners. “[This song] is my message to everyone out here dealing with situations that threaten to devalue them,” he told OkayAfrica. Well, it certainly feels destined to be another hit for the iconic star, continuing his seemingly endless reign.
