Someone once said that no one is unattractive, they’re most likely being held down and choked by sapa. We’re here to say that that person was right, and as proof, we present these before and after pictures of some Nigerian actors that you may not have seen before.

1) Nancy Isime

Before/After

Nancy has said that she got her start as an usher, and judging by her hair, makeup, and jewellery in the first picture, it was probably taken around the time she got started on her journey to stardom. Now she’s a certified superstar — actress, model, and media personality. The glow up is real.

2) Deyemi Okanlawon

Before/After

Deyemi got his start in 2010 with the feature film, ZR-7. He appeared in many things after but it wasn’t until he starred in 2017’s Royal Hibiscus Hotel that he got mainstream attention. He shared the before picture on his Instagram page earlier in 2021 with the caption. “E don tey wy I fine oh. #flashbackfriday” We thank God for the glow up.

3) Timini Egbuson

Before/After

Sure, Timini has become a leading man now, but there was a time when he struggled through auditions like everyone else and even his sister’s (Dakore Egbuson-Akande) influence couldn’t help him bag roles. It wasn’t until he got on MTV’s Shuga and NdaniTV’s Skinny Girl In Transit (which he’s seen promoting in the photo on the left) that his star — much like his skin — began to shine.

4) Daniel Etim Effiong

Before/After

The picture on the left is a still from a 2013 short film Daniel wrote, directed, and edited himself titled, Loner. Let’s just put our hands together and thank God for his glow up because LMAO.

5) Ufoma Mcdermott

Before/After

Ufoma has been in this entertainment game for almost 20 years so we’re not even surprised that she used to look like the picture on the left. Look at her now, killing the game and quite literally glowing at the same time. We stan.

Catch these fine actors and actresses in the upcoming Nollywood movie, Superstar, when it premieres in cinemas all over Nigeria on the 29th of December 2021.
