Nigerian relatives can be quite tricky to handle, especially if they are older than you. For this post, we will focus on the totally stressful times aunts and uncle come visiting and all the drama they bring with them.

You, when an uncle shows up unannounced

Why are you like this?

When a “visiting” aunt comes with her loads of bags

Wait, how many hours are you planning on spending?

When they start complaining about how dirty your room is

But what’s your own?

And why you’re not studying

E be things!

When they start comparing you to your cousins

What’s all this?

When they take control of the remote and start changing channels

Remember that this is not your house oh.

When you do the minimum and they start scolding you

Will you shut up?

Or tell your parents that you’re spoilt

When it’s been a few days and they show no sign of leaving

Please God, make them leave

When they finally leave and don’t dash you money

Shame!
