• A lot of Nigerians have been displeased with our honourable president, Muhammadu Buhari and they are not hiding their mouth. A creative Nigerian has created a mixtape, just like the Ministers List we made months ago.

Twitter user @Dousche_Bag created this epic mixtape about Buhari’s performance so far, using the titles of popular songs by popular American musicians as his inspiration!

These are our favs:

1. Hello (From A Private Flight)

Inspiration is from Adele’s “Hello”.

2. Sai My Name, Sai My Name

Inspired by Destiny’s Child’s “Say My Name”.

3. Campaign Papi (feat Osi’Banj)

Inspired by Drake’s other name “Champagne Papi”.

4. How Low Can You Go (Oil price Diss)

Inspired by Ludacris’ song of the same name.

5. How Much A Dollar Cost?

Inspired by Kendrick Lemar’s song also of the same name.

6. I Can’t Stay One Place (When I’m With You)

Inspired by The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face”.

7. The Blame Game

Inspired by Kanye West’s “Blame Game”.
• So respected veteran actress of the Hollywood industry made a really controversial statement recently, when she was in Berlin heading up her first international film jury. When she was asked if she was familiar with world cinema, particularly films from Africa and the Middle East, she said she had recently seen the Jordanian film “Theeb,” about a Bedouin boy on a hazardous mission in the desert, and also “Timbuktu,” about Islamist militants taking over the fabled Malian city. But what really caught everyone’s attention was:
The thing that I notice is that there is a core of humanity that travels right through every culture. And after all, we’re all from Africa originally, you know. We’re all Berliners; we’re all Africans, really.
This statement followed an uproar over the all-white Oscar acting nominee selection for a second straight year. The brouhaha forced the movie industry to confront how blacks, Asians and Latinos are represented in Hollywood.
It later came to light that Meryl Streep’s “We’re all Africans, really” comment was a direct response to a question about Arab and African films, not a response to questions about the Film Festival’s all white jury, as originally suggested. But according to science, we really are all Africans, so even if she was taken out of context, she’s might still be right.

Welcome to the natural hair club!

• N/B: These are just jokes. Well most of them anyway. We believe that you’ll use your spirit of discernment to separate the wheat from the chaff. Now let’s proceed. Makeup artists are loved and hated almost equally. It’s hard to tell if there’s a balance. We will agree that they give us goals, both obtainable and unobtainable ones. These are characteristic traits that we’ve noticed to be common among all of them.

1. It’s compulsory that you have an Instagram page. AND a Youtube channel too – if you mean serious business.

Twitter is optional, maybe Facebook. But Website is advisable.

2. Find a fancy name. It can be your real name. Then attach “MUA”, “Makeover” , “Beauty by”, “Makeup by” or “Looks” to it.

3. Every place is a potential photoshoot location.

4. Beauty event happening tomorrow? You must attend.

5. You must be able to do this kind of eyebrow. So gather all your brow brushes, brow powder and concealer.

6. Your contour skills must be good. The face carving must be on point.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BBsj0c2DnqG/

7. You must be able to do makeup au naturel.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BAccUNPQ3S1/

8. Make sure you post before and after pictures of your clients. And they must be dramatic.

10. Clients will always tell you that you charge too much and to reduce your rates. Just tell them…

11. You will be broke sometimes, with no money in your Chanel bag. But you must still look fly AT ALL TIMES. Afterall looking good is your business.

12. Some people will not to respect your hustle. But you’ll show them.

Now go forth and slay!

• So, this UK online pharmacy, Superdrug Online Doctors, published nineteen photoshopped images of the same man showing the ideal body type from different countries.

This is the original picture.

Each image was photoshopped to represent a specific country’s ideal body type, by a graphic designer from that country. Countries included the Philippines, Croatia, Russia, Pakistan, Macedonia, Indonesia, Egypt and Colombia. Superdrug gave designers “minimal instructions” and free reign to do with the original image as they saw fit.

These were the results.

The designers photoshopped everything from hair colour to build and facial hair.

It was all fine and dandy until we saw this one. This one of the ideal Nigerian man.

We have questions.

Like…

WHO EDITED THIS IMAGE?

WHAT WAS HE OR SHE THINKING?

DO NIGERIAN MEN ACTUALLY LOOK LIKE THIS?

Do they not know that RMD is the ideal Nigerian man?

Or Gbenro Ajibade?

Or OC Ukeje?

The consensus is divided on that one.

But we’re here to show you this lit photoshoot we found.

Yes. This one! ?

The cute couple took these pictures for Valentine’s Day! Check out this one too.

In the above pictures, the guy says they’re just friends.

Really?

• Witchcraft is very rampant in Nigeria. At least, some religious people will have you believe that. And who bears the brunt of it? Children who have been deemed witches by their families, because of what the pastor said or because the child is acting “abnormally”.

That was the situation of this three year old boy.

The child who couldn’t fend for himself was left for dead in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state after being branded a witch. People passed by this child and did nothing to help him.

The severely malnourished child was rescued by Anja Ringgren Lovén, who gave him water and Digestive biscuit as shown in this picture that went viral.

Anja Ringgren Lovén, the Danish founder of the African Children’s Aid Education and Development Foundation. She sold everything she owned and moved to Nigeria three years ago, where she found this organization, with her partner David, through which she uses education “to break superstition in Nigeria”.

The boy who has been named ‘Hope’ by Anja, is currently in the hospital and is being cared for by her and treated for malnutrition and worms. He has received a blood transfusion as well.

<!– // (function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = “//connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.3”; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, ‘script’, ‘facebook-jssdk’)); // ]]>

Hope is much better now, but can’t speak yet.

<!– // (function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = “//connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.3”; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, ‘script’, ‘facebook-jssdk’)); // ]]>

He now moves around and plays with Anja and David’s son.

When he’s sufficiently recovered, Hope will be joining other children in the orphanage run by the charitable organization.

• If you’re a fan of P-Square, you’d have noticed that there’s been trouble in the business for some time. No one knew exactly what was wrong, but some of us wondered if the music duo, were breaking up.
https://twitter.com/King_Wgw/status/696822691505053696
But now, it’s emerged that the trouble isn’t with P-Square, but with their management, Northside Entertainment.

And who is their manager? Their senior brother, Jude Engees Okoye, of course.

In a series of tweets, Peter Okoye, the dancer in the group shared his frustrations.

He also said that P-Square has no contract with the management.

To those doubting if he was actually the one tweeting, he replied:

Some fans tried to settle the matter, but it didn’t work.

Well, Jude didn’t keep quiet of course – after he was subtweeted by Subdelivery Man.

LMAO at the “pdf file”!
https://twitter.com/judeengees/status/699853594015698945
According to Jude, Peter has been going through a lot lately.

Could he be talking about this?

Jude continued:

https://twitter.com/judeengees/status/699854033314582532
Heh, what could he possibly mean?

Peter replied:

He went on to debunk the story that Jude sold his car to help their career.

Meanwhile, all this time, Paul kept quiet. Then he shared this on Instagram:

He was against Peter’s decision to share their family matter on social media.

Peter who wasn’t expecting this replied to the post:

And share these not-so-cryptic tweets:

Then he outright said:

Peter then revealed the reason behind the family feud to be Cynthia Morgan, the reggae-dancehall songstress.

He said:

We sincerely hope that this gets resolved soon and that P-Square stays together.

• The value of the naira is free falling and it’s scary to think of how far it might fall before it’s stabilized. There’s a legit fear that Nigeria will become the new Zimbabwe if care is not taken.
But Nigerians who follow history have known for a long time that the wise move would have been to diversify our economy and not depend solely on crude oil as our main export product. And this should have been done a long time ago.
Well, it seems that Nigerians have had a “crude” awakening with the recent ridiculous drop in oil prices, as well as the depreciation in the value of the Naira and have shared the different steps we can take by buying made-in-Naija products to grow the naira.

From the simple things that will go a long way.
