Falling under the anointing in a Nigerian church is a whole experience. This list shows all the common reactions we have seen when it happens to people.

1. The silent pistols.

The people in this category are the kind of people that ushers love to see. Once they receive their anointing or laying of hands, they simply turn their backs and return to their seats, calm as a dove.

2. The water fountains.

Most times, people who are silent pistols also belong to the water fountain category. Once they return to their seats, they start shedding tears. So much tears that you’ll start to wonder if you are a child of God because water no gree comot for your eye.

3. Operation scatter everywhere.

These ones. Even before the pastor touches them, they have scattered an entire row of chairs. Once the pastor touches them like this, they scatter the whole thing. It takes only the strongest ushers to hold them back.

4. The confessors.

No, they’re not confessing to any evil crimes or acts of wickedness. Once they fall under the anointing like this, their own is to confess that Jesus is lord.

5. And finally, those who burst into tongues.

Just one touch from the pastor, or a ‘hit’ song from the choir and they will burst into tongues. God help you if you’re sitting beside them.

Which category do you fall under?
