• It might have taken the BBNaija No Loose Guard housemates more than 14 days to divide Biggie’s house, but it’s finally happened, and we’re here for all the premium entertainment.

If you’re wondering why you keep seeing certain housemates always together when you tune in to the channel, it’s because Biggie’s children have rewired the season’s theme to “Battle of The Cliques.” As a fan or viewer, the next question that should keep you up at night is: “Which clique should I bet on?”

    Mbadiwe Twins X Chekas

This clique started with heavy family reunion vibes until we blinked, and Ozee began working harder than the god of thunder to ship Onyeka. One thing about this clique is that they just want to win tasks and gossip. They might entertain you while doing it, but don’t get it twisted—that’s not their primary mission.

    Rank-o-meter: Vibes on Vibes

    Shaun X Wanni X Handi

If you haven’t exhausted your “God abeg” prayers on this clique, then you’re probably watching the back of your TV. At this point, Wanni X Handi’s parents should accept that they now have a triplet. The twins have their eyes on the money but are also dead ready to tear down Biggie’s roof if push comes to shove.

Victoria could have been part of this clique, but her partner seems to have forgotten they came into the house together.

    Rank-o-meter: Problematic AF

    Nelita X Aces

The Aces are the baby boys of the house. They couldn’t care less about Biggie’s ₦100m prize. Whether they win or not, they’re fine. They’re in the house for a good time, not necessarily a long time. But they’ve done the smart thing by attaching themselves to Nelly and Anita, who both have their heads in the game.

    Rank-o-meter: Vibes on Vibes

    Zinwe X Floruish X Victoria

Resident mother gagool, Chinwe, takes full credit for planting division in the house after recruiting Rhuttee into her hate party against Nelly. Unfortunately, landing in the bottom four rattled her badly, and now she thinks the housemates are against her. But that hasn’t stopped her from being vile.

Victoria shouldn’t be part of this clique, but this is what happens when your sworn partner tosses you aside like onions in cheap shawarma. Zion and DJ Flo are also members of this clique by circumstance.

    Rank-o-meter: Problematic AF

    Beta

These ones will probably observe their way out of Big Brother’s house. They know all the cliques but aren’t ready to give their allegiance to anyone. Instead, they have one foot in and the other out. This makes them problematic AF because what even is a person with no strong sense of loyalty?

    Rank-o-meter: Problematic AF

    Streeze

This clique will stay confused until the day Ebuka announces them as the next evicted housemates. Toby Forge’s extreme obsession with Biggie’s kitchen and food has turned him into an “Anywhere belle face.” Mayor Frosh, on the other hand, is after Rhuthee’s pants and may have lost his focus. This duo and the Beta group shouldn’t be in Biggie’s house for another week. Send them home.

  • Biggie’s housemates definitely lied and deceived us in the first two weeks.

They tried to be demure, mindful, and cutesy, but obviously, that didn’t last long. Big Brother’s children have finally remembered whose house they’re in and have started giving us back-to-back drama. Now, we can guess the pair that’ll most likely walk away with Biggie’s money.

    Radicals

Fairme and Michkey obviously don’t know their audience, and it doesn’t look like they even want to. They’ve been in the bottom four twice in a row, and instead of changing their game plan, which is currently just sexual jokes and giving everyone the ick, they’ve decided to stick to it. If we’re being honest, that’ll be their downfall because how many times will the custodians save you?

Chances of winning the money:  0.5. The only way they’ll win that money is if the housemates forget they’re there and they sneak their way to the finals, which is highly unlikely.

    Beta

We don’t even know how Big Brother let Ben’s leaking mouth and Tjay’s silence in the house, but we highly doubt they’ll last long. They’re currently surviving off Tjay’s connections, and that’s because Ben won’t stop making crass jokes that piss everyone off.

Chances of winning the money: 2. The second Big Brother scraps custodianship, and the housemates select who stays or goes. The viewers will send Ben out of that house, and Tjay will be collateral damage.

    Floruish

The fact that they decided to spell their pair name like that aside, Rhuthee and Dj Flo are a very interesting pair. While Rhuthee is building castles in her head and waging imaginary battles with the other female housemates because of Mayor Frosh, Dj Flo has decided becoming Chinwe’s shadow is more important than the ₦100m. They’re doing their best to entertain us, but Rhuthee and her delulu might be their downfall.

Chances of winning the money: 3, but only if Ruthee’s team finally sits up and Dj Flo finds a better storyline for herself.

    Streeze

Mayor Frosh and Toby Forge came into Big Brother’s house with a shipping agenda. Mayor Frosh may have finally landed one, but that isn’t going to help him and his partner.

Chances of winning the money: 3. If Toby Forge can magically make Kassia return whatever he’s feeling and come between Double Kay,  they just might have a chance at the money. If not, nothing for them.

    Zinwe

Chinwe already threatened everyone with a voluntary exit, so we’re quite surprised that Zion and his sugar mama are still there. Chinwe is trying her best to give us drama, and Zion is serving fine boy realness, but the way they’re both moving, the housemates might send them packing the next time they touch the bottom four.

Chances of winning the money: 4. They had a chance to win the shippers’ support, but their bad behaviour got in the way.

READ: All The Ships Setting Sail in Biggie’s House

    Double Kay

We know everyone feels like they might be strong, but we really don’t see it. Kassia is trying her best, but her husband has decided to blend in with Biggie’s furniture. They need to decide if they want to put their “housemates can’t know we’re married” storyline to use or go to their house.

Chances of winning the money: 5. They’re sitting on the hottest storyline in Big Brother history, and if they put it to use, we’ll all have a blast.

    Nelita

Nelly and Anita might have avoided Biggie’s cameras and drama for the first two weeks, but they’ve clearly decided to embrace it all this week. Since they won the HOH titles earlier this week, they’ve been giving us romance, sisterhood, and gbas gbos on all sides.

Chances of winning the money: 5

    Mbadiwe twins

Ozee and Ocee seem to have solidified themselves as the big brothers of the house. However, some housemates feel like they’ve started doing too much, giving unsolicited advice and being condescending.

Chances of winning the money: 6. They’ve never been in the bottom four, and most of the housemates like them, for now.

    [ad]

    Aces

Sooj and Topher might be the only housemates who know the power of connections this season. They’ve found themselves in ships with Nelly and Anita, avoided fights, and are just giving love, light, and low-key drama in Biggie’s house.

Chances of winning the money: 7, but only if Topher’s influencer status helps them out.

    Shatoria

Victoria and Shaun are on two different journeys in Biggie’s house. Shaun’s journey started on the very first day, when he started talking to Wanni, while Victoria’s journey just started this week. She spent the first two weeks blending into the background and keeping to herself, but now that she’s out of her shell, it’s looking like they might have a good chance at the money.

Chances of winning the money: 8. With the Shanni shippers on their side and all the fans Victoia somehow gained from keeping quiet, they have a good chance of winning.

    Chekas

When Big Brother opened his doors to Onyeka and Chizoba, we don’t think he knew he was bringing “gistlover” into his house. While Chizoba prefers to quietly win over the housemates, Onyeka has decided to answer the journalistic call, searching for and spreading information all over the house. It might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s clearly working for her.

Chances of winning the money: 9. They might have touched the bottom four in the first week, but their fans have sworn to drag them to the last day if they have to.

    Wanni x Handi

The twin DJs walked into Big Brother’s house with a mission. Wanni found herself on a ship in the first 24 hours. They’ve come together to fight any and everybody who has tried them, and they’ve never been anywhere near the bottom four.

Chances of winning the money: 10. If the Chekas team doesn’t sit up, Wanni x Handi will walk away with Biggie’s ₦100m.

ALSO READ: What Type of #BBNaija Fan Are You?

  • If you didn’t know by now, your fave in Biggie’s house says a lot about you. The type of person you are, the type of lover you are, and most importantly, the way you spend your money.

Here’s what your fave says about your spending habits:

    Mercy Eke

Just like Mercy, you enjoy the finer things of life, you tend to spend more on trips, great food, and wonderful experiences.

    Cross

The only things you spend your money on are food (no fish though), clubs,  and a lot of liquor. In fact, you should probably open a liquor business. It’s okay if you don’t want to do it alone, Moniepoint will help you.

    Soma

You like to spend on your partner. People don’t look at you to see how much money you have, they look at your ‘darling’, and that’s fine by you.

    TolaniBaj

You spend like you have an endless supply of money. Anything you want, you get, whether it’s a skill acquisition course, or teeth that glow in the dark.

    White Money

The “money” in your fave’s name doesn’t concern you at all. As a matter of fact, that’s the only money you like to show off. The bulk of your earnings goes into a savings account or the business account you opened with Moniepoint.

    Angel

We can’t lie, your money is long, but you would rather spend it on your family members than yourself. Which explains why you want a partner with money as long as yours. You spend on the people you love, they spend on you. Balance.

    Ike

You may or may not have money, no one really knows, but we do know that you like to spend other people’s money.

    Kiddwaya

You have money, and you like it when everyone knows that you have money. So, you spend it on designer clothes, gold furniture, glasses that can double aswindshields, and that apartment you keep in Dubai.

    Frodd

You’re a silent spender. You make and spend your money silently, nobody has to know your business. If you could, you’d bypass the whole banking system and dig a hole in the middle of your bedroom, but the gold plated tiles won’t let you, so you’ve settled with opening a Moniepoint business account instead.

  • Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) organisers just announced an All-Stars season set to start on Sunday, July 23, 2023. While this may be new to Gen Zs, millennials have been there, done that.

An All-Stars Big Brother Africa season went down 13 years ago, and it was pure chaotic TV that had viewers in a chokehold, with our own Uti Nwachuwku winning the season. Out of nostalgia, we took a deep dive to see what some of the ex-housemates from that season are up to these days.

    Lerato Sengadi

BBA All-Stars 2005: Where Are the Housemates Now?

Lerato made her debut on the Big Brother franchise in 2007, during the second season of Big Brother Africa. Three years later, she joined other participants to take another shot at the reality show in the All Stars season of 2010. These days, she’s a PR specialist and influencer marketer who’s worked with top South African media brands.

    Code Sangala

BBA All-Stars 2005: Where Are the Housemates Now?

Another BBA 2 alumni, Code left his city in Malawi with the hopes of winning the All-Stars edition’s grand prize of $200,000. The radio DJ and advertising executive is still active in the media space and has even kicked off a career in music.

    Tatiana Durao

BBA All-Stars 2005: Where Are the Housemates Now?

Think of Mercy Eke, Erica and Tacha, and you’ll have a clear idea of who Tatiana was in the 2010 season. The actress and model shook the All-Stars house with pure drama, and she’s still making waves as a media personality in Angola.

    Uti Nwachukwu

BBA All-Stars 2005: Where Are the Housemates Now?

With little or no introduction needed, our very own guy, Uti Nwachuwkwu didn’t just represent Nigeria in the BBA All-Stars season, he also brought the prize home. But this bro hasn’t stopped working, whether he’s acting, modelling or jumping on hosting gigs.

    Kaone Ramontshonyana

BBA All-Stars 2005: Where Are the Housemates Now?

13 years after walking out of Big Brother’s house as a radio producer and presenter, Kaone has had an interesting run in construction and social work, but it doesn’t look like he’s still a media guy.

    Munya

BBA All-Stars 2005: Where Are the Housemates Now?

Two years after his debut in BBA season 3 (2008), Munya made another run for the money in the All-Stars season of 2010. These days, he’s heavily involved in the Zimbabwean movie industry, and we love it for him. He also bagged a master’s degree a few months ago.

    Paloma Manda

Paloma had a back-to-back run when she went from the BBA 4 (2009) house to the All-Stars house the next year. She’s hardly in the media today but has her own mining business in Zambia.

    Mwisho Mwampamba

Mwisho joined the cast of the BBA All-Stars season in 2010, three years after his first appearance in Biggie’s house. 13 years later, he’s established himself as a farming consultant, environmental activist and fitness instructor in Tanzania.

    Yacob Yehdego

Like Paloma, Yacob was in the fourth and fifth seasons of the BBA show. However, not much is available online about him. A Google search returns a string of articles published during his 2010 run in the house. A search on Twitter returns a similar result and no account in his name pops up on Instagram.

    Samuel Bampoe

Samuel represented Ghana in the first edition of the BBA show in 2003. He made his way into Biggie’s house again in 2010. Nowadays, Samuel holds his own as a PR guru and communication specialist in Ghana.

    Shiela Patricia Kwamboka

Shiela returned for the All-Stars season of 2010 after representing Kenya in BBA season 3. At the time, she was a writer, director and actor, and she stayed on this path 13 years later. Sheila is currently one of the leading women on radio in Nairobi.

    Jennifer Mussanhane

BBA All-Stars 2005: Where Are the Housemates Now?

Jennifer met her husband, Quinn, on the fourth season of the show before returning for the All-Stars season the following year. She’s kept a low profile since she left the house, but pictures on her husband’s IG page suggest she’s on a mission to explore the world.

    Meryl Shikwambane

Meryl and Mwisho made history when they got engaged on live TV during their time in the All-Stars season. Meryl’s last post on her official IG was shared in July 2016. And while they continued their relationship outside the house at first, there’s no mention of Meryl on Mwisho’s active IG page today.

  • There’s nothing Nigerians love more than playing spectator to the drama in other people’s lives. Outside of our fake hatred for semo, the one other thing that unites us as a people is amebo, and that’s why we love Big Brother

With each new season of the show, we find previous housemates striving to remain relevant in the face of their successors. But what happens when a housemate leaves the show and either chooses to disappear or simply fails to hold our attention as an audience? Well, it has happened before, and these are what some of our former Big Brother faves who disappeared have been up to lately.

    Igho Karen

Karen was the real bad bitch. Funny, audacious, and five seconds away from showing you craze. She walked so that housemates like CeeC, Tasha and Phyna could run.

After emerging as the first female winner of the Big Brother Africa show in 2011, she made a few appearances on some Nollywood shows, popped up in Blackberry Babes Reloaded and hosted a radio programme on Naija FM. She also had a brief stint with music. While Karen may have left our minds, she’s maintained her presence on social media and recently appeared in an episode of And Just Like That, a sequel to Sex and The City

    Katung Aduwak

Katung was a contestant on the first season of Big Brother Nigeria in 2006. While Ebuka has become a celebrity sweetheart and fashion icon now, he lost to Katung Aduwak in BBN 1 back in the day. After winning the $100k prize, Katung went to a film school, taking a more behind-the-scenes approach to the spotlight. Since then, he’s directed a few short films, and become an artist and public speaker. His most recent project is a masterclass on becoming a reality star.

    Michael Efe

Image Source: The Guardian Nigerian News

Michael Efe, known as Efemoney, went into the Big Brother house looking to blow. His strategy was his musical talent, poverty sob stories about drinking garri without sugar every day and his life in Warri. These were enough for Nigerians to vote for him as their winner of the See Gobe season of Big Brother Naija.

Efemoney went straight from the Big Brother house to the studio, but Nigerians were quick to turn their attention from him once they realised his songs didn’t slap like that. That hasn’t stopped Efemoney because he’s still in the music business, and recently released an EP, Stubborn Boy

    Miracle Igbokwe Ikechuckwu

Even though Miracle won Big Brother Naija: Double Wahala in 2018, it was pretty evident the pilot and model had no desire to remain in the entertainment business. After the show, he went back to aviation school and graduated a year later. Since then, he’s focused on being a pilot and scarcely updates his social media posts. Miracle really won and said, “Aired, dfkm” to the Nigerian entertainment scene.

    Ezekiel Bright Osemudiamen

Brighto may not have made it to the top five, but his impact during the Lockdown season of BBN was felt. The audience couldn’t choose which version of Brighto they liked more: The one that made semo at midnight like a thief or the Chiwetalu Agu-inspired one that kept pitting housemates against each other. Since he left the house in 2020, he’s started a car dealership business, Lord B Autos, and occasionally features in comedy skits on Instagram.

    Olamilekan Agbeleshebioba

Laycon didn’t just win BBNaija season 5, he won the hearts of Nigerians with his grass-to-grace story and display of intelligence. Like Efemoney, this artist was in the house to build his brand and amass recognition, which he succeeded in doing because his fans were streaming his songs while he was still in the house.

Three years later, it seems his fame from the show is dwindling because even though he’s still very much in the music industry, there’s hardly any buzz around his music. The most recent mention of him is the MA he’s since received from Portsmouth University.

RELATED: Rating Big Brother Fights Over the Years

  • We asked for drama and Big brother said, “Hold my beer.” With two houses, fake housemates and the general chaos of this season, it’s hard to imagine the show is just barely four weeks old. From love trapeziums, friendship spats and individual conflicts, there are some important lessons to learn.

    Every disappointment is a blessing

Sometimes you have to let go of something to get something better. Remember how distraught Groovy was when Beauty got disqualified? He was literally moping around the house. But look at him now — the most sought-after and honestly, we love it for him.

If you see what you want, go for it

Even though the feeling may not be reciprocated, at least, you tried. I mean, look at Doyin — or maybe if Amaka had simply told Groovy how she felt about him, he would have been with her instead of Phyna.

    Love fiercely and fearlessly

With the amount of breakfasts flying around, we understand why you’d be scared to wear your heart on your sleeve. Sure, people may call you a simp. But if we’ve learnt anything from the “Shella” ship is that, if you love someone you have to be intentional. Tell them and show them.

You should totally find out QUIZ: Plan a Date and We’ll Reveal Your BBN Soulmate

    Men will stain your white

Know this and know peace. Don’t lose sight of your goal because of a few hours of pillow talk and under-the-duvet moments. Because the same man you’ll get in trouble for, will not only replace you, he’ll do it a week after your ‘split’ and with your friend. We’re sure Beauty is boiling watching Groovy all loved up with Phyna. Smh.

    Love is wicked

Somebody will like you but you’ll say you don’t like them, you like somebody else, but that person will not like you because they’re chasing someone who doesn’t rate them. And that’s how, just like that, breakfast has touched everybody.

Pro tip: Na mumu dey love. Always stay guiding.

Set boundaries and know where to draw the line

Never accommodate something you’re not okay with even if it’s done by someone you care about. For Khalid, having sex on live television might have been okay, but he chose to draw the line at drinking alcohol. And who are we to judge?
