    2. Davido’s Tekno-produced, wavy jam, ‘If’

    3. Olamide’s ‘Pepper Dem Gang’ that makes everybody loose their home training.

    4. Praiz’ Folashade that addresses mental illness.

  • I don’t know about you, but I like the trash that is Nigerian music.

Me, every time Wizkid starts singing.

Mainstream Nigerian artistes just know how to sing about money, sex and drugs but we all love it!

    Everytime ‘Molowo’ ‘Molowo’

But is that what we’re here for?

And no one addresses important issues like mental health, especially depression

For the olodos, ‘Depression‘ is a constant state of feeling sad and hopeless, and could lead people suffering from it to have suicidal thoughts and actions.

You think ‘depression’ is not really a thing, but it is!

It affects people around us, and we really need to be attentive to these people before they hurt themselves

The way Folashade did in Praiz’s new video

Folashade, who suffers from depression for unknown reasons refuses to talk to Praiz – her lover. She later commits suicide in a bathtub.

Nigerian artistes, will you die if you talk sense in your music once in a while?

Except Runtown, we like his nonsense like that.

Please, a big round of applause for this Praiz’s video.

Praiz is fine, Praiz can sing and Praiz has sense. Be like Praiz.

This thing is serious. Be more attentive to friends and family and help prevent suicide.

  • Iyanya, when he’s not oiled up and dancing funny is definitely a Nigerian sweetheart, the ladies love him.

But how did he look before God washed away his days of ashiness? Before he started singing ‘from the bed to the bedroom?

This video from his Project Fame days will definitely make you cringe. Looking like that, we’re not surprised at how badly Bisola and Praiz dragged him.

What do you think of the old Iyanya? Share your thoughts in the comments section.

We are not worthy of Falana’s music abeg!

  • It appears Nigerians didn’t leave banter and shade in 2016 because Mr Eazi has been the brunt of it all since he shared an interesting tweet about Ghanaian and Nigerian music on January 11.

According to him, Ghanaian music set the pace and heavily influenced Nigerian music.

    https://twitter.com/mreazi/status/819266629196509184

And we’re all just here, like other Nigerians wondering where the influence is.

Nigerians came for him in droves.

And even threw shade at Ghana while at it.

How they dragged him all over Twitter:

Someone said he should still be a studio cleaner.

Perhaps his sold-out concert is making him carry his shoulders up.

Mr Eazi fans in Nigeria, after seeing his controversial tweet:

    https://twitter.com/IamRashGan/status/819324289321234436

Instead of them to hype Terry Apala.

Instead of Mr Eazi to thank Nigerians for supporting his music.

After the yeye tweet, we’ll still kuku dance when he drops another dope song.

    https://twitter.com/KingJamez_/status/819448847365795840

But for now, Mr Eazi is cancelled.

Finally, the moral of the story is:

  • All of us, Nigerians especially, will be forever grateful to Wizkid and Runtown for dropping their lit individual singles, ‘Daddy Yo’ and ‘Mad Over You’ at the end of the dramatic 2016.

Less than 10 days into 2017, club bangers, ‘Daddy Yo’ and ‘Mad Over You’ have made it to number 31 and 38 respectively on the Billboard Twitter charts- basically a list of the most viral songs on the internet.

How you lose your home training when you hear, “Ghana girl say, she wan marry me o”.

When your crush says ‘Daddy Yo’ is trash.

This already shows how lit 2017 will be and we can’t wait for the awesomeness Nigerian artistes will be dropping this year.

In the meantime, watch the videos of ‘Daddy Yo’ and ‘Mad Over You’ below:

  • During the first weekend of November2016, Wizkid bagged 2 prestigious EMA awards in one night and Nigerians couldn’t be more excited.

But sadly, the people at MTV just stripped Wizkid of the ‘Best Africa Act’ award and presented it to Tanzania’s Alikiba.

According to the statement on the MTVEMA website, the wrong announcements were made due to an error on their end.

Na wa o! Which kind of yeye error is this?

We will not take this ojoro!

They basically gave Wizkid and all Nigerians ela.

Meanwhile, we’re still waiting for them to tell us the US election result was a mistake like this sha.

    https://twitter.com/Princessofwifi/status/796406929908256768
  • When it comes to Nigerian music in 2016, Wizkid has got to be the one of the most relevant names at home and abroad.

Following his appearance in Drake’s hit single, One Dance, there is no doubt that Wizkid’s relevance in the international scene has just started.

Which was why his collaborative effort on Roc Nation singer, Justine Skye’s single, ‘U Don’t Know’ didn’t come as a surprise to many people.

‘U Don’t Know’ is basically a fusion of Afrobeats and Dancehall, which makes sense considering the background of both artistes on the track.

The video to this track is currently being shot but in the mean time, you can listen to this wavy jam below:

  • Known for his soothing voice and signature dreadlocks, Canadian musician, The Weeknd, shocked the world when he showed off his new look while promoting his upcoming album, ‘Star Boy’.

Shocking as this big chop may be, that’s not why we’re here o!

Because there’s only one Star Boy we know and trust, the one and only hit maker, Wizkid.

We’re confused o! Who should be the original Star Boy? Share your thoughts on The Weeknd’s big chop in the comments section.

While the  world waits patiently for The Weeknd’s album, you can listen to a snippet from his single with Daft Punk here.
