The 11th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) is already underway. While the biggest and brightest African entertainers are snagging their awards on the red carpet, the famine of beauty that has wrecked the country for months is finally being broken.

This year, the super stylish stars showed up in mermaid dresses and long trains to keep Eko Hotel clean, and sometimes their names were inscribed on their suits. Already, some of their fashion scores are here.

Here is what your favourite wore to the AMVCA, what we think of their looks, and what they scored.

Ebuka Obi-Uchendu in Atafo

Thoughts: It’s a good look no doubt, but is this AMVCA look? Would have been perfect for the Headies.
Score:
 6/10

Mike Afolarin in TI Nathan

Thoughts: A very clean look. But it could be more dapper.
Score: 6/10

Mercy Aigbe-Adeoti in VeeKee James

Thoughts: I just can’t get past that moon. But that bead worked is fire.
Score: 6/10

Jemima Osunde in Ambaosa

Thoughts: A very stunning look, and that fabric is a perfect choice.
Score:
7/10

Idia Aisen in Ambaosa

Thoughts: I am still unsure what is going on with this look.
Score: 3/10

Liquorose in Prudential Atelier

Thoughts: I’m not sure I like this dress for her.
Score:
4/10

Uti Nwanchukwu in Alan Cruzer Bespoke

Thoughts: Very dapper look and very appropriate for the occasion.
Score: 6/10

Osas Ighodaro in Veekee James

Thoughts: Hands down, it was one of my best looks of the night.
Score: 8/10

Erica Nlewedim in Weiz Dhurm Franklyn

Thoughts: When I say the famine of beauty is over, this is what I mean.
Score: 8/10

Victoria Onyenwere in Mamadi Couture

Thoughts: Love the top of the dress. The bottom? I am not so sure.
Score: 6/10

Venita Akpofure in Atelier by Kunbi

Thoughts: This is supposed to be a lovely dress, but my problem is with the shade of the mesh and how long it is.
Score: 6/10

Efa Iwara in Atafo

Thoughts: Now this is how you make a statement as a man at the AMVCAs. Super dapper.
Score: 8/10

Elozonam in Jeff Urban

Thoughts: I do think that the jacket’s length is too long. It almost looks like a trench coat, not a suit jacket.
Score: 5/10
