Angel Smith & Tumininu Osiefa
Angel Smith and Tumi’s marriage barely made it past the wedding before things hit the rocks. Weeks after their wedding, Tumi accused Angel of infidelity and claimed she’d rushed into the marriage for immigration papers and exploited her financially. Angel later denied the allegations and accused Tumi of bullying and harassing her.
Regina Daniels & Ned Nwoko
Regina Daniels and Ned Nwoko’s marriage had Nigerians talking from the jump in 2019, especially because of their 41-year age gap. Their relationships came under fresh scrutiny in 2025 when Regina accused Ned of violence and abuse, while Ned hit back with allegations of alcohol and drug abuse. The fallout soon pulled their families into the drama, including the arrest of Regina’s brother, while a child custody battle continued to play out publicly.
Innocent Idibia (2Baba) & Annie Macaulay
2Baba and Annie Idibia’s relationship survived 25 years of public scrutiny, including years of speculation around his alleged affairs and children outside their union. But the union ran its course in January 2025, after 2Baba announced that they had separated and were filing for divorce. He then went public with his relationship with Natasha Osawaru.
Yul Edochie & May Aligwe
Yul Edochie and May Edochie’s love story came to an end in 2022 when Yul announced that he’d taken actress Judy Austin as a second wife and had welcomed a son with her. May wasn’t having it. The fallout moved from social media to the courts, where she filed for divorce and sought ₦100 million in damages from Judy over adultery.
Tonto Dikeh & Olakunle Churchill
Tonto Dikeh and Olakunle Churchill’s breakup remains one of Nollywood’s messiest separations. Tonto accused Churchill of domestic violence and financial manipulation, including a claim that she funded their entire wedding. Churchill responded with allegations that she was addicted to drugs. After years of public back-and-forth and custody battles involving their son, they eventually put the past aside and began co-parenting peacefully.
Tiwa Savage & Tunde (Teebillz’s) Balogun
Tiwa Savage and Teebillz’s marital problems first went public in 2016 when Teebillz took to Instagram and accused Tiwa of infidelity, among other claims against her family. Tiwa responded with allegations of his own infidelity and substance abuse. Their marriage didn’t survive that crisis. They separated and eventually divorced in 2018.
Frank Edoho & Sandra Onyenucheya
Frank Edoho and Sandra had been separated privately for almost two years before their breakup became public in May 2026. Frank confirmed that they were going through divorce proceedings, after which Sandra publicly denied allegations of infidelity and accused him of abuse and financial irresponsibility.
Toke Makinwa & Maje Ayida
Toke Makinwa and Maje Ayida’s 18-month marriage ended in 2015 after news broke that Maje had impregnated his ex-girlfriend. Toke said she discovered the affair through social media at the same time as everyone else. She filed for divorce after Maje showed little remorse over what had happened, and their marriage was officially dissolved in 2017.
Paul Okoye & Anita Isama
After 17 years together, Paul and Anita Okoye’s marriage hit a very public rough patch in 2021. Anita’s divorce petition accused Paul of an alleged affair with their housekeeper, as well as financial wrongdoing involving a ₦10 million business contribution. Their marriage was officially dissolved in 2022.
Peggy Ovire & Frederick Leonard
Just a few years after their 2022 fairytale wedding, Peggy Ovire accused Frederick Leonard of infidelity with a married woman and announced that they were heading for divorce. Their marriage was officially dissolved in July 2026.
