    About the Author of The Challengers

    Eghosa Imasuen is a Nigerian writer, publisher, and medical doctor. He is the author of the critically acclaimed Fine Boys (2012), a coming-of-age novel that was inducted into Ohio University’s prestigious Modern African Writers series in 2021. A long-time facilitator at Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s annual writing workshop, Imasuen also served as a consultant for the CANEX Book Factory under Afreximbank’s Creative Africa Nexus initiative.
    A 2018 Civitella Ranieri Fellow, he lives in Lagos with his wife and twin sons. The Challengers (2026) is his third book and his first major work of narrative nonfiction.
