Zikoko’s Twitter space turned into a classroom for open, stigma-free conversations about sex and reproductive health on August 19, 2025. Featuring Dr. Kieva Chris Amusan (Fertitude founder), Elizabeth Adewale (certified sex educator), Sarah Odeniran (Nurse and sexual health trainer) and Oluoma Edim (DKT Nigeria nurse coordinator), the session was a masterclass in enlightening and empowering women.

Here’s the tea on what went down.

Breaking Taboos with Bold Conversations

This Ask Me Anything (AMA) session focused on topics that Nigerian women often whisper about, like orgasms and G-spots. Elizabeth Adewale answered a question about multiple orgasms with practical tips, including but not limited to: stimulate the clitoris and nipple during penetration or try “edging” to build arousal.

She also demystified the G-spot; she described it as a spongy spot two inches inside the vagina, best explored when aroused. This session was really aimed at stopping negative stereotypes around women’s sexual health. It was like a group chat with your wisest friends, who have expert credentials.

Empowering Women with Knowledge

This space was all about arming women with the tools to own their health. Dr. Kieva highlighted her app’s role in offering affordable doctor consultations and stigma-free advice. Sarah Odeniran and Oluoma Edim from DKT Nigeria shared valuable insights on contraceptives and managing side effects to ensure that women can stick with family planning without stress.

One of the attendees asked, “What does sex feel like?” And Dr. Kieva responded, saying that it’s deeply personal, often pleasurable, but tied to emotional connection and communication. Babes! Imagine having answers to those awkward health questions without having to Google-spiral. That’s exactly what this session delivered.

Building a Community of Real Talk

The interactive energy of the AMA made it special. We had questions from the audience on different things, including G-spot locations and sexual pleasure, and these questions were met with warmth and expertise. Elizabeth’s breakdown of edging, which is building arousal, pausing, then repeating for explosive results, had listeners hooked. Essentially, the speakers created a safe space, like gisting with aunties who actually get it.

Challenging Norms, One Story at a Time

Elizabeth’s passion for reshaping how young Nigerian women discuss intimacy and Dr. Kieva’s push for women to control their reproductive experiences challenged norms head-on. Who says you can’t talk about pleasure and still be a “good girl”? These women encouraged listeners to prioritise their health and happiness over outdated stereotypes.

Experts Making Healthcare Accessible

The expertise of our speakers shone through during this AMA Twitter space. They literally made complex topics feel approachable. Dr. Kieva’s Fertitude offers trusted health resources and consultations, while Sarah and Oluoma’s work at DKT Nigeria ensures that women get practical contraceptive guidance. Their advice, like ensuring arousal before exploring the G-spot or communicating with sex partners, was impactful. This space wasn’t just talk; it was also a call-to-action.
