Abuja had a moment on April 26th and if you were not at Varuna by The Good Beach, here is everything you missed.

    1. The venue set the tone immediately

Varuna by The Good Beach is the kind of outdoor space that does not need much dressing up. It arrived with its own atmosphere and Ballantine’s Blended Scotch Whisky made sure its presence matched the setting: clean, considered, and unmistakably Stay True.

    2. The lineup made an immediate statement

PK, Banx, AP The Saint, Zino, Bob Jay, R Blaise, Borsh, Gigi Jasmine, Burna, Kendrick, and Dus Dus. Eleven DJs across eight hours. The programming moved through sounds and tempos without ever losing the room, the kind of sequencing that only happens when the people behind the event genuinely understand their audience. Nobody left early.

    3. The cocktails were fully in the mix.

Ballantine’s Apple, Ballantine’s Lightning, and Ballantine’s Sour. Three options, all built around Ballantine’s Blended Scotch Whisky, all designed to meet the crowd wherever they were. Whether you are a longtime fan of the liquid or trying it for the first time, there was something at the bar for you. The bar was busy all through the day and that says everything.

    4. The crowd was the full community

DJs, producers, event owners, streamers, and talent managers who have been building Abuja’s music scene from the inside. This was not a general crowd that happened to show up. This was Abuja’s own, and they came out in full force from 2PM to close.

    5. Ballantine’s presence in Nigeria’s DJ-led culture continues to grow

The brand has been investing in Nigeria’s DJ-led spaces across Lagos consistently for years. Seize The Day in Abuja is the next chapter of that commitment. Same energy, new city, same belief: that the communities driving Nigeria’s music scene deserve a brand that shows up for them wherever they are, not just in one city.

    6. Across 8 hours and 11 DJ sets, the energy held steady from start to finish, with the crowd locked in throughout.
