Mobile Screens and Sounds (MSS), one of Nigeria’s leading technical production companies, has announced the launch of the MSS Event Tech Academy, a 10-week hybrid training, mentorship, and business launch programme designed to equip 100 young Nigerians with practical, industry-relevant skills across screen and live event production.
Delivered as part of MSS’s 20-year anniversary celebrations, the Academy is a tuition free CSR initiative representing the company’s long-term commitment to talent development and industry growth. The initiative was created to address the growing need for skilled technical professionals within Nigeria’s expanding creative and live production ecosystem by providing participants with access to structured training, expert guidance, and hands-on experience.

Now, we’re investing in the people who will power the next two decades,” said Tunbosun Kola-Daisi, Chief Executive Officer of Mobile Screens and Sounds. “The MSS Event Tech Academy is not just about training technicians; it is about building a sustainable pipeline of world-class production professionals who can compete on any stage, anywhere in the world. This is our commitment to the industry that built us and the young people who will shape its future.”
The programme combines classroom learning, practical sessions, mentorship, and real-world project exposure across key areas of the production industry. Participants will specialise in one of six tracks: LED and Multimedia Installation, Sound Engineering, Lighting Design, Indoor and Outdoor Stage Design, Event Management, and Videography and Creative Production. Each track is designed to bridge the gap between technical knowledge and employability, ensuring participants graduate with the confidence and skills required to thrive in the industry.
The MSS Event tech Academy will run through a series of progressive learning phases, beginning with foundational instruction covering core technical concepts and industry standards, followed by practical learning sessions, track-specific projects, and assessments. Participants will also gain industry exposure through mentorship from experienced professionals and hands-on project execution before completing a final capstone project. Upon successful completion of the programme, graduates will receive an Academy Certificate of Completion providing formal recognition aligned with industry standards.
Applications for the Event Tech Academy are now open from 25 June to 5 July via the dedicated Event Tech Academy portal. The selection process includes an online application, screening, and shortlisting of successful candidates. The programme is scheduled to commence on 13 July 2026
