The Scanfrost Cookout finale was held on August 20, 2026, at Darlington Hall, Ilupeju, Lagos, and it brought together everything people love about food competitions: pressure, creativity, flavour, personality and big rewards.

Before the live event, the challenge had already gained strong attention online, with over 350 entries submitted nationwide across social media. From that pool, 10 finalists were selected using clear judging criteria and competition metrics. Those finalists then moved from online submissions to the live cookout stage, where they had to prove their skills in front of judges, guests, media and the Scanfrost team.

The finalists competed for a share of a ₦10 million prize pool, made up of cash prizes and Scanfrost appliances.

    The Winners and Prizes

The finalists competed for cash prizes and Scanfrost appliances across the top 10 positions.

Igboeri Jennifer from Aba emerged as the overall winner, receiving ₦1.5 million in cash, alongside selected Scanfrost home appliances.

Anaeto Chiamaka from Port harcourt emerged as the second-place winner, receiving ₦1 million and a Scanfrost 8 Series Gas Cooker, while Henry Ugochukwu from Lafia came third with ₦700,000 and a Scanfrost 6 Series Gas Cooker.

Those who placed fourth to 10th each received ₦200,000 and a Scanfrost 5.5L Air Fryer.

A Cookout Designed Around Real Kitchen Moments

At the finale, Scanfrost appliances were not just displayed. They were used throughout the event. Contestants cooked, blended, heated, stored and served with Scanfrost cookers, microwaves, air fryers, blenders, refrigerators and chest freezers.

That made the event more than a cooking competition. It became a practical product experience, showing how Scanfrost appliances fit into the different stages of food preparation.

For Mr. Ankkur Kapoor, Assistant Vice President, Product and Marketing, that was the real purpose of the Cookout.

“Scanfrost has always been part of real homes, real kitchens and real everyday moments. The Cookout allowed us to celebrate culinary talent while showing how our appliances support the cooking experience from preparation to storage. It is a strong expression of how we want consumers to experience the brand,” he said.

Why It Mattered for the Brand

The Cookout gave Scanfrost a way to connect with consumers beyond regular advertising. People were not only watching products. They were seeing them support real cooking under live competition conditions.

“I loved seeing the finalists bring their ideas to life. Cooking takes passion, preparation and the right support in the kitchen. The Scanfrost Cookout gave these talents a platform to show what they can do, and it was beautiful to be part of that experience,” she said.

    Dealers Also Saw the Value

The event also mattered to Scanfrost dealers, because it showed customers how the products work outside a showroom setting.

According to Mrs. Tina Gupta, one of Scanfrost’s top Lagos dealers, the Cookout helped build product confidence.

“For dealers, events like this are very valuable because customers can see the products working in real life. It builds confidence and makes it easier for people to understand why Scanfrost remains a trusted choice in many homes,” she said.

More Than a One Day Event

The Scanfrost Cookout started online, moved into a live competition, and will continue through photos, videos, finalist stories, winner moments and product-led content across Scanfrost’s digital platforms.

For the finalists, it was a chance to compete and win. For Scanfrost, it was a chance to show that appliances are not just products in a showroom. They are part of the everyday cooking, storing, serving and family moments that happen in Nigerian homes.
