The AMVCAs have come and gone but everyone knows that the real fun is not just the awards. It’s voting your favourite outfit for best dresses. It’s looking forward to all the amazing outfits your favourite celebrities are going to wear. And finally, it’s hoping your favourite movies win awards as well.

This year, Guinness helped to bring that event to life turning fashion, film and music into one full-on cultural moment at the 2026 AMVCAs.

The Guinness Black Carpet had everyone looking stunning

Everyone knows about the red carpet, but have you heard about a black carpet? The Guinness Black Carpet added an even more dramatic edge to the night. Having this elegant backdrop to all the outfits we were gushing over made them look even better.

Tiwa Savage, Fave and BNXN helped turn the night into a full-on concert

At this point, the AMVCAs is part awards ceremony, part concert, and part fashion performance.

Performances from Tiwa Savage, Fave and BNXN kept the energy high throughout the night, giving everyone plenty of reasons to stay on their feet all through the night.

The  best dressed stars walked away with ₦1 million each all thanks to Guinness

One thing Nigerians will do is have unsolicited opinions. With the Best Dressed category sponsored by Guinness, everyone had the opportunity to back their talk with action; if your favourite celebrity is the best dressed, come vote for them. A true democracy.

In the end, Reality TV stars Sultana and Faith Adewale emerged as the winners of the Best Dressed category after public voting.

And then Guinness took things up another level at the afterparty

Once we were done screaming our lungs out over the awards and gushing over all the beautiful, creative outfits, Guinness took things to another level with a phenomenal afterparty filled with music, flowing drinks and the kind of energy that kept the night alive for hours. There’s really no party like a Guinness party.

By the end of the night, the AMVCAs once again proved that it is no longer just an award show. It’s where fashion, music, film and internet culture all collide in one place. And with the Black Carpet, the Best Dressed conversations and an afterparty people will probably still be talking about for some time, Guinness made sure the 2026 AMVCAs felt bigger than just another event.
