Power Oil’s WalkHeartOn has reached a significant milestone, completing 10 years of using experiential engagement to promote conversations around heart health and healthier living. The 10th edition, held on October 1, 2026, at The Stables Sports Ground, Surulere, Lagos, in celebration of World Heart Day recorded 25,536 registrations and 11,896 physical attendees.

Power Oil’s annual heart-health walk celebrated its 10th edition on October 1, 2026, at The Stables Sports Ground, Surulere, Lagos. And Nigerians showed up. 25,536 people registered, while 11,896 people physically attended the event held in celebration of World Heart Day.
Commenting on the 10th edition, Roland Akpe, Marketing Manager, Oils and Fats Portfolio at Tolaram, said, “Ten years of WalkHeartOn is ten years of Nigerians choosing to show up for their hearts. At Power Oil, we believe heart health is a lifestyle, shaped by what we eat, how active we are and the choices we make every day. World Heart Day gives us an important opportunity to reinforce that message, and WalkHeartOn allows us to bring it to life by getting Nigerians moving, connecting and taking those healthy steps together.”

Participants got active with fitness sessions, health checks, games, refreshments and performances from Brain Jotter and Mr P, while spending time with friends and family. But underneath the fun was a serious message. WalkHeartOn has spent the last decade encouraging Nigerians to move more and pay attention to their heart health. Ten years later, WalkHeartOn has become more than an annual event. It’s a reminder that healthier living doesn’t always have to start with something complicated.
Sometimes, you just need to get up and take a step. And apparently, thousands of Nigerians are ready to do just that.
