What makes you feel like you?

There’s a lot of talk about confidence these days. Online, it looks like big energy and perfect looks, as if we all have to show up as people who have figured everything out.

But at the BIC Miss Soleil “Feel Like You” Booth, at HERtitude 2026, something different and quieter was created. It was a space where women could talk about confidence the way it actually shows up in their lives; through routines, rituals, and the small acts of care that help you step out feeling like yourself.

BIC Miss Soleil, and a lot of the women we spoke to, believe that ‘feeling like you’ starts before you walk out the door. It starts with how you care for your skin. A smooth, clean shave. A simple step in your morning routine that just works for you, the kind of thing that quietly sets the tone for everything else.

At the booth, we asked women a simple question: what actually makes you feel like you?

    Here’s what they said:

“It’s the little things, honestly.”:  Amaka, Data Analyst

“Like when I take my time to get ready, even if I’m not going anywhere serious. Just doing my routine properly makes me feel put together. It’s not about who is seeing me, it’s just for me.”

“Confidence starts with how I take care of myself first” – Kike, Entrepreneur

“I don’t leave grooming to chance. When I’ve done the basics like shaving and skincare, I feel more ready. It helps me ease into my day with more confidence.”

    “If I don’t feel well-groomed, I don’t feel fully ready” – Sofie, Lawyer

“It’s not about doing too much. It’s just that basic grooming, like smooth skin, helps me feel prepared. It’s part of my routine before I face the day.”

“I don’t think confidence just happens. I build it” – Ifeoma, Financial Consultant

“I don’t always feel confident, but I have a simple morning routine that allows me to take time for myself. Once I get into it, I start to feel better. It’s like I ease into it.”

“Feeling fresh is part of feeling like myself” – Grace, Mum

“For me, grooming is personal. It’s not for anyone else. When I’m well-groomed and feel smooth, I feel more like myself and less distracted by everything else.”

“I just want to feel like myself, not like pressure” – Sade, Writer

“There’s a lot of pressure online, to look a certain way or be a certain way. I’ve stopped chasing that. I’m more myself when I’m around people that don’t judge me, like my close friends or my sisters. That’s when I’m most comfortable.”

If you listen closely, they’re all saying different versions of the same thing. Confidence is not one big moment. It’s a collection of small ones. The morning shave that leaves your skin smooth and cared for. The routine you can rely on. Being around people who let you be yourself. Doing the things that make you feel comfortable before you step out.

That’s where grooming and self-care comes in. It doesn’t have to be something major or dramatic but a part of a sacred routine. It can become something steady, something you can rely on, and that helps you feel empowered and like yourself. And that’s really what BIC Miss Soleil brings to you.

The BIC Miss Soleil focuses on what your skin feels like after the shave. Three blades work together for a close, precise shave, while the pivoting head follows the natural contours of your body, so every stroke is smooth and controlled. The curved handle gives you a secure grip throughout, making the whole process feel easy rather than effortful. Built into the shaver is a lubricating strip enriched with Aloe Vera and Vitamin E, which works to hydrate and protect your skin. You finish with skin that feels genuinely soft and cared for rather than dry and sensitive. It is the kind of product that easily earns a permanent spot in your routine.

At BIC Miss Soleil, we believe that when everything works the way it should, you can focus on what actually matters: feeling like yourself and stepping out as the best version of you, every time.
