Since Friday, the social media accounts handler of Big Brother Naija 10/10 housemate, Bright Morgan, has been calling for him to be disqualified over claims that he sexually assaulted Mide, a female housemate and his love interest on the show. The account posted a video of Mide and Bright cuddling in bed.
“Bright Morgan aka Bright Mbata sexually assaulted Mide, touching Mide’s breast and butt while she fell asleep. This should not be okay,” a post from @brightmorgan__, the Instagram account that Bright Morgan — who is an actor — has used to promote films he has featured in, read. The account also called him a “rapist.”
But fans have said that in the video, Mide was awake and speaking with Bright.
How Did Bright Morgan and His Handler Get Here?
The account handler began to go rogue after Bright Morgan expressed romantic interest in Mide. Initially, Bright and Mide were just close friends, but after Thursday’s pool party, it was clear they had become more than friends. The pair danced together in the pool, and fans of the show were already rooting for their relationship. They also cuddled in bed later.

So, Why Is the Handler Angry About This?
When Bright Morgan came into the show, he stated very clearly that he was not coming to be in any romantic “ship” and that he was already in a relationship. But as the show went on, he got closer to Mide, and eventually, they became a ship.
When Did the Handler Go Rogue?
Hours before the handler posted the video of Mide and Bright cuddling — and claimed he had sexually assaulted her during the moment — the account had dropped a comment claiming that Bright had gone too far with the game.
The account called him broke and claimed that it was his girlfriend, who the post said was an American woman named Ruth Diamond, that sponsored him to the show.
“His American girlfriend is the one that bought everything our boss is wearing, down to his boxers… person wey don plan marriage this year. E no good like that nah,” the account posted.
After calling him a rapist, the account later posted the video of Mide and Bright in the pool making out, calling him a, “very weak man, no self-control. No self-respect, no fear of God.”
What Is Bright Morgan’s Family Saying?
In a statement signed by the Mbata family — Bright’s family — that has circulated online, they said they remain “unwaveringly committed to standing by their son and brother, Bright Morgan.”
“We wish to make it unequivocally clear that the family is neither aware of, nor in support of any malicious act or utterance currently being associated with him. The Mbata family remains unwaveringly committed to standing by their son and brother, Bright Morgan, in the face of any attempt to misrepresent or tarnish his image. Our support for him is absolute, and we will continue to uphold his name and integrity to the very end,” the statement read.
Is His Girlfriend Outside the House Bright Morgan’s Handler?
We could not confirm if the girlfriend is the handler. But many fans have suggested that she is, and is trying to get him disqualified for starting a ship with Mide. Neither the family nor the handler has confirmed the identity of the handler so far.

So What is BrightStars Doing?
Fans of BrightMorgan — “BrightStars” — have since come out in support of him and opened a new account on Instagram, official_bright_morgan. The account, run by friends and family, called the posts by the handler “pure hate.”
“After all that went down a few hours ago, it came to our attention that the statement y’all saw circulating under Bright Morgan’s name was pure hate and malice to ruin his name and image,” the post said. “But as a team and family, we took action and decided to continue supporting Bright Morgan using this new account.”
So far, the account has over 90,000 followers — way more than the 60,000-plus that his original account had, which has been active since 2017.
So What Is the Handler Saying Now?
The handler has made multiple posts telling fans not to follow the new account started by supporters. It called the account fake and doubled down on calls for Bright to be disqualified. Many fans have pushed back, claiming this was not about any alleged assault but about Bright’s relationship with Mide.
The handler also claimed that the new account bought followers. We can’t confirm that the account bought followers. However, we can confirm that the account has been active since 2018 and was being operated from Uganda.
At the time of reporting, Meta had removed brightmorgan__, Bright Morgan’s initial account.
