• The wait is over! The Leading Woman Show, the television interview series dedicated to amplifying the voices and impact of women leaders in Nigeria, is back for its highly anticipated third season. Premiering on February 8, 2025, the show promises to deliver another season of insightful discussions, inspiring stories, and actionable strategies for empowering women.

Hosted by Abosede George-Ogan, a renowned advocate for women’s leadership and the founder and executive director of the Women in Leadership Advancement Network (WILAN) Global, The Leading Woman Show has become a powerful platform for challenging stereotypes and driving progress toward gender-balanced leadership.

This season, themed ‘The Policy Series’, will explore critical topics such as demystifying policies, the intricacies of policymaking, and the importance of gender-inclusive policies.

George-Ogan shared her vision for the season at a recent media parley in Lagos: “The Leading Woman Show is more than just a talk show; it’s a bold attempt to deconstruct social norms that have hindered women. We are committed to reshaping the perception of women leaders, challenging stereotypes, and inspiring the next generation of female changemakers.”

She also highlighted the importance of gender-balanced leadership, noting that Nigeria’s population is nearly evenly split between men and women. “Evidence shows that with gender-balanced leadership, corruption reduces, and people have better access to healthcare and education,” George-Ogan noted. “This is not a battle for dominance but a call for fairness. Leadership should be inclusive, allowing all voices, including those of women, to be heard in decision-making processes.”

The media parley also featured insights from WILAN’s Communications Lead, Ìtunu Hunga, who stressed the need for inclusivity in decision-making. She noted that the issue is not about competition but about equal representation for competent individuals,

By fostering dialogue and inspiring action, the show continues to highlight the collective benefits of gender-balanced leadership, paving the way for a more inclusive and equitable future for women in Nigeria.

The Leading Woman Show Season 3 premieres on February 8, 2025, and will air on NTA at 11 am, AIT at 9 pm on Saturdays, and Channels TV every Sunday at 7:30 pm.

The show will also be available to stream on WILAN’s YouTube channel, ensuring accessibility for a global audience. Follow @wilanglobal on Instagram and across social media for updates and episode previews.
