NBA meets art continues to celebrate basketball through Nigeria’s rich heritage and arts culture. For the second edition, NBA Africa collaborated with Nigerian artist Dennis Osadebe and took the celebration to the Tiffany Amber Gardens in the heart of Ikoyi, Lagos.

Here are all the best parts from the event.

    The art

Dennis Osadebe captured the true essence of the event with his “Passing / Building / Victory” piece. The piece speaks to the importance of teamwork on the court and as a community.

    The dance performances

Art can be expressed in multiple ways, and ex-BBN housemate Hermes and choreographer Jossyann got the memo with their beautiful dance performance.

    The people

Only the coolest kids were there at the invite-only event. From Tunde Folawiyo to Banky W and Editi Effiong, Tiffany Amber Gardens was filled to the brim with creatives, entertainers, and people excited to see just how basketball brings people from all walks of life together.

    DJ Consequence

A Nigerian party without a DJ is no party. No wonder why DJ Consequence was in the building to keep the music going and the vibes in check.

    The fireside chat

Dennis Osadebe and the NBA Africa Vice President and Country Head  Nigeria, Gbemisola Abudu, spoke about what the collaboration meant, and why it’s important to celebrate how basketball unites people from different fields.

    The fits

One thing about Lagos events, everyone always comes correct with their outfits, and this event was no different. In every corner of the room, it was clear the guests arrived with a mission to look and give their best.

    The Choir

What’s a dinner party without live music? The choir serenaded everyone with angelic voices and a moving medley.
