Lola Rae had just been signed to Davido Music Worldwide as the label’s “first lady,” and this romantic, dance-driven record doubled as her flagship DMW rollout. The title, Igbo for “please,” sets the pleading, love-struck tone, and Davido’s romantic guest verse elevates it to an airwave banger. This is him giving his newest signee a co-sign and a great verse.
19. “All I Want” — Russ feat. Davido (2021)
This is one of Davido’s cleaner international linkups. Though it’s a Russ single, Davido is firmly in the driver’s seat. 17. “divine” — Odunsi, the Engine feat. Davido (2018)
This feature has to be the most left-field pick here, and one of the most rewarding. From Odunsi’s landmark album rare, comes “divine.” It’s a bouncy, retro-tinged R&B cut with a romantic, wordplay-heavy lean. Hearing Davido step into the vanguard alté space is a delight. He adapts his delivery to the song’s cooler, jazzier style; evidence of range too few of his features get credit for.
16. “Ogechi (Remix)” — BoyPee, Hyce & Brown Joel feat. Davido (2024)
This remix is a prime example of Davido’s long-standing habit of elevating rising talent. The original track by BoyPee, Hyce, and Brown Joel was already gaining traction, but Davido’s co-sign and verse turned it into a smash hit. He smoothly adapted to the upbeat, joyful mood of the song.
15. “Demo” — DJ Neptune feat. Davido (2020)
From the Greatness era, this Speroach Beatz–produced record (with guitar flourishes from Fiokee) finds Davido wearing his heart on his sleeve — an airy, romantic ode to a crush, complete with a stuttering, DJ-scratch–style vocal hook that makes the whole thing stick. 12. “Gallardo” — Runtown feat. Davido (2014)
This is a career-defining song for Runtown. It’s produced by TSpize and was set up when Timaya connected the two artists in the studio. Davido brought a fast-paced, breathless flow that matches the song’s theme of speed and luxury. The Davido connection ran deep: the same creative orbit produced Davido’s own smash hit “Aye.”
11. “Sensational” — Chris Brown feat. Davido & Lojay (2023)
“Sensational” is arguably Davido’s biggest crossover moment on this list. It’s a song from Chris Brown’s 11:11 album. Davido’s romantic, melodic turn holds its own beside one of R&B’s biggest stars.
