Vincent Desmond is a journalist whose writing spans fashion, culture and queer history. His work has appeared in global publications such as Vogue, Vice and Paper. He brings a sharp analytical voice to stories often overlooked in mainstream media.
He is being honoured for his contribution to the Silenced Eyes exhibition, where his interviews with key figures in Nigerian queer history formed the audio documentary at the centre of the two-day multimedia show. His essay on Nigeria’s thrifting culture and its role in shaping the 2010s alté renaissance was also showcased at the 24th International Exhibition at Triennale Milano, where it ran from May to November.
