Niyi Fagbemi is a photographer and filmmaker recognised for dynamic and movement-focused imagery. His work captures the pulse of everyday life and the shifting energy of urban spaces. He has built a strong identity as a creator who documents Nigeria through motion and texture, shown in his work covering the Ojude Oba festival in Ijebu Land since 2023.
He is being honoured for his 2025 exhibition Naija in Motion. The project captured the rhythm and restlessness of urban Nigeria in new ways, expanding his footprint in contemporary visual culture.
