#BumpThis: Jinmi Abuls’ “Babaye”

December 3, 2019

There’s so much new music being released that it’s hard for even the most loyal fans to wade through the trash to find the gems. That’s why we’ve created #BumpThis – a daily series that features new songs, by and featuring Nigerians, that you absolutely need to hear.

Jinmi Abduls — “Babaye”

Jinmi Abduls has been a consistent delight for a while now, and even though his songs don’t get nearly enough mainstream love, he’s still out here dropping gems. His latest effort, “Babaye” is no different.

While the song actually dropped a few weeks ago, it’s the recently released video that helped bring it to our attention. It’s actually shocking that it took us this long to find it because “Babaye” is a really solid afro-house banger.

On the track, Jinmi is trying to get a babe to party with him. Well, considering just how utterly infectious the song is, he shouldn’t really need to do too much convincing.
