There’s so much new music being released that it’s hard for even the most loyal fans to wade through the trash to find the gems. That’s why we’ve created #BumpThis – a Friday series that features new songs, by and featuring Nigerians, that you absolutely need to hear.

Crayon — “Shima”

About a month ago, Mavin Records’ newest signee, Crayon dropped “Kpano”

, a thoroughly infectious single that didn’t get the attention it deserved. Now, he’s back with an even stronger single, “Shima”.

Produced by London — the gifted beatsmith behind Rema’s hit song, “Bad Commando” — the mid-tempo “Shima” finds Crayon singing about a lover that drives him crazy with her body.

Like with everything he’s done in the past year — from his debut EP to his features — “Shima” is further proof that the up-and-coming afropop star truly deserves our undivided attention.
