Younger siblings are the worst. That’s it. That’s the sentence. But there is a chance that you get along so well now that you no longer share this sentiment. Well, it’s great that you’ve decided to be the bigger person and move on from all the pains they caused you when you were growing up. For the purpose of this post, we’ve decided to remind you about some of them.

1. When you had to babysit them

Growing up, nobody wanted to look after their younger sibling. Their singular purpose in life was to ruin the quality of your life the moment your parents asked you to look after them.

2. The times they reported you to your parents because you wouldn’t play your video games or share your toys with them

You had everything to yourself until they started coming. Their own toys were never enough — they preferred to add yours to their collections too. Your parents would also take their sides and say things like “you’re older. Learn how to share.” It was never enough that you were sharing your parents already.

3. When they fought with you for control of the remote

They agreed that you were older until it was time to choose a channel. They were never shy to drag the remote with you because of course, you had equal rights. Usually, you had to concede, especially if your parents were involved.

4. When they defaulted on their portion of the chores

Everything was all good until it was their turn to wash the plates. Sometimes, your parents might put their foot down and force them to do it. But more often than not, you had to do it eventually.

5. When you agreed to commit a crime together and they snitched on you

Every younger sibling is a potential snitch. All your parents had to do was to promise a reward and they would tell them that it was your idea to take a piece of meat from the pot.
