LBMM, IJGBs, Partays, And Why We Can’t Wait For December 2020!

Finally, the year 2020 is coming to an end! This year needs to vanish with all its wahala. Next year will be the do-over we all crave. So, colour us happy! Now that we have less than a month till December (please, don’t call it Detty. Look where that has gotten us), here’s why December needs to get here now:

  • 2020 Will End:

If that is not enough reason to be excited for December, we don’t know what is. What haven’t we seen this year?! A worldwide pandemic, yes. Civil unrest, yes. Nigerian Police refusing to listen to us, yes.

Please, 2020, come and be going. It was not great to meet you at all!

  • COVID issa goner:

Colour us naive, but we are a part of the ‘80%’ that choose to believe that this pandemic will fade away with 2020. Yes, if you believe it, it can happen. Positive thinking, right? So, gorgeous December, the sooner you get here, the better for us all. Oya!

  • PARTAY

With the stress level we have all had to endure; the pain, the frustrations – we all need to cool off! So, the parties that will happen in December will not have a sequel. It will be the perfect time to blow steam off and, be thankful that we have survived one of the most notorious years ever.

  • LBMM:

Ladybuckit and the Motley Mopsters (LBMM) is Nigeria’s first-ever feature-length movie to make a cinematic run! In other words,  a cartoon that will blow our minds away.
Have you seen the teaser?! Plix, hold our laptop. Daaaamn! From what we can tell, some part of the movie happens in Oloibiri – a historic community in  Bayelsa State where crude oil was first produced in Nigeria. Another part seems to occur in modern times. It has Nollywood stars, Kalu Ikeagwu, Patrick Doyle, Bimbo Akintola, Bola Edwards, and others. It will also feature fresh voices of 11 and 13-year-old Jessica and David Edwards. The Director and Lead Animator, Bisi Adetayo, worked on Game of Thrones! Aaaah!

LBMM will premiere on Friday December 11. So, we know which days we are booked for. Because families need an escape, please!

  • Christmas:

Naija during Christmas is beautiful. There is so much ‘happy’ in the year. And this year CANNOT be an exception. If the year 2020 has taught us anything, it is ‘live every moment like it is worth every shred of your time’ and this Christmas will be no exception.  We predict it will be like none we have ever seen. We need it!

  • IJGBs

Oh, our dear ‘innits’, how are you? We really hope you are ready for what is about to happen? Our babes and dudes are sure ready for you. There is still a pandemic out there, so try to keep safe in every way.  Enough said.

So, sistah December, where are you and why are you shy? November needs to speed up and get us to when we need to be. What else are you excited for?
