Well, here we are. Not entirely sure if we remember what it means to go outside without potentially exposing ourselves to danger. With not much to do, it’s perfectly normal if you think that this is the perfect time to get the alcohol out and treat yourself to some nice bouts of drunkenness, especially if you live alone. But hear us out, it’s not a great idea. And these are the reasons why:

It means you’re giving up

Drinks are best enjoyed with friends and people you care about. Sure, the times have changed, but you need to believe that this isn’t going to be permanent. Drinking alcohol alone is the first step to giving up, and you don’t want to get on that journey. We’ve said our own.

You won’t know when to stop drinking

If you usually depend on your friends to cut you off from your drink, well, who will do that for you now? Won’t it be better if you don’t find out?

If you throw up, you clean up the mess

Because you won’t know when to stop, you will go way above your alcohol tolerance, and this is the point when things start to go downhill. Now, if you can’t get the content in your bowels to stay there and they come rushing back up, you will be left with a mess you have to clean by yourself. Yuck!

You may do stupid things

You may call your ex and it probably won’t go well. Imagine calling your ex and their current partner picks up. Imagine the awkwardness you will feel during the call. And imagine all the things you will feel after, especially when you remember that you’re doing this lockdown thing alone

You will have no choice but to sleep the hangover away

This is not bad, but what if you have work to do and you oversleep?

You will wake up miserable

The alcohol is out of your system and you’re no longer intoxicated. All the excitement you felt when you were drunk has dissipated. But Coronavirus is still a thing and the lockdown is still in effect. And now, you have to deal with everything you thought you could escape. E be things!

You know what? We have everything that will keep you in high spirits as we navigate these times together. The box below is a good place to start.
