First, you were a 10-year old with no worry in the world, except that you always had to figure out new, creative ways to convince your parents to let you out of the house. Then, you became 20-year old and you didn’t have to worry about that anymore. You can now live your best life and have all the fun you ever wanted. But there is only one problem — your 30s creeps up on you and changes everything, especially your thinking around partying:
In your 20s: You can make it to a party you are invited to at the last minute
In your 30s: if you don’t get the invitation weeks in advance, then it’s not important
In your 20s: The venue is whatever spot you and your friends decide on.
In your 30s: If you don’t have a proper venue (read: event halls), no one will take you seriously.
3. Who is invited
In your 20s: You will die of embarrassment if your parents crash your party
In your 30s: You don’t mind your parents being there
In your 20s: Parties start any time and end only when the last sets of people leave.
In your 30s: You know the number of hours you’re spending at the event, even before you go.
In your 20s: You party when you feel like.
In your 30s: You party when there is something to celebrate.
6. Drinking habit
In your 20s: Long gulps from the bottle.
In your 30s: Occasional sips from a cup.
7. Where you end up
In your 20s: You can spend the night anywhere.
In your 30s: Your house. It’s not even up for debate.
