We saw this on Twitter the other day:
After doing a weird mix of laughing and crying because she’s not wrong, we decided to do some research and make a list of ways one can japa. You know, for those who need it. (Everyone at this point.)
1) Marriage
First step: Find someone who’s a citizen of the country you want to immigrate to and love the hell out of them. If they love you back, get married. Why? Because being the spouse of a citizen of a country is the easiest way to immigrate to that country.
2) Work
Work visas are valid for only one year. The key here is to get this visa (which you can only get when you get a job in the country you want to migrate to), and then, while you’re there, do every legal thing you can to turn it into a permanent one. May the odds be in your favour.
3) School
This one is a 3 for 1 combo: You get another degree, get to experience what education is like in a sane environment, AND you can slowly transition into living there permanently if you get a job immediately after schooling.

The event is to show potential students how to go about studying and eventually starting a career in the US. The virtual event will kick off in Nigeria/Cameroon 26th April to 2nd May, 2 pm to 7 am (+1: Next day) and in Ghana 26th April to 2nd May, 1 pm to 6 am (+1: Next day).
