Last night, for the first time ever, Nigeria won the Fédération Internationale de Basketball (FIBA) Africa Basketball Championship, popularly known as AfroBasket 2015.
The historical 28th edition of the competition was held in Radés, Tunisia.

The Nigerian team, D’Tigers beat the 2013 champions, Angola, with a final score of 74 – 65 to qualify for the 2016 Summer Olympics Basketball Tournament in Rio, Brazil.
The team was led by Nigerian-British professional basketball player Olumide Oyedeji, the first African player ever to be drafted outside America to the NBA.
