Nigerians React To The Dissolution Of SARS

October 11, 2020

The Inspector-General of Police, Mr Mohammed Adamu, has announced the dissolution of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, following days of widespread protests across the country.

The Nigeria Police Force also released a statement on their Twitter account signed by Frank Mba, the PRO of the force.

As it is to be expected, Nigerians are reacting to the major development. While some reactions are jubilant, others are cautious.

1. A united voice matters

2. Going on well, no?

3. Peace of mind is underrated

But quite a number of people won’t take the IGP at his words, for obvious reasons.

4. Speaking of, where is the President?

5. Sounds like nothing is about to change

6. We’ve heard this before. And there are receipts

7. Same old, same old

8. Again, where is the President?

9. The struggle continues
